The clinical research department is one of the newest departments of Düzen Laboratories Group. It was established in 1997 in order to meet the needs stated in the IKU guide published in December 1995 by the Ministry of Health and also to coordinate the laboratory services of the clinical research. Because of the outstanding performance of clinical studies carried out by our laboratory, one of the three leading institutions of clinical research around the world named “Covance Virtual Central Laboratories” have chosen Düzen Laboratories Group as its strategic partner in Turkey after conducting the necessary examinations. Globally prominent medicine firms have conducted audits in our laboratory within the framework of clinical research services and they have documented that the clinical researches conducted in our laboratory are in accordance with the rules of GCP (good clinical practice) and GLP (good laboratory practice).
- In this context, laboratory services of 418 clinical research projects have been completed so far and 68 studies are still ongoing.
- We cooperate with different laboratories in all provinces of Turkey within the scope of clinical research services.
- We have couriers for clinical research services in five big city centers throughout the country and provide services for the transfer of clinical study samples. If samples of clinical trials are taken from the research centers, our special couriers take the samples from the centers and transfer them to the laboratory.
- All necessary conditions are met for the transfer of clinical research samples. The samples are transported in special sample transfer boxes that are heat-insulated and resistant to impacts. When necessary, our laboratory provides dry ice and transports the samples in dry ice (frozen).
- As a requirement of the clinical study, the samples whose laboratory studies have been completed can be stored at -20 °C or -70º C for the desired time, if requested.
- Care is taken to ensure that the samples comply with IATA 1.5 conditions during transport.
In clinical studies, the samples transferred to the laboratory in accordance with the transport conditions, the tests are performed by the reference methods or the methods shown to give results in parallel with the reference method both of which are in accordance with TS EN ISO 15189 standards and they are all performed with the same instrument.
